From Al-Faqir Ilallah : Ustadz. Abu Bakar Ba'asyir

To the Creature of Allah : President of Syria Bashar Al-Assad

 السَلاَ مٌ عَلَى مَنِ تَّبَعَ الْهُدَى

"May salvation be given to the people who follow this guidance (religion of Islam)"

Indeed, we intend to invite you to repent and embrace Islam. Enter into Islam, you will surely be saved. Enter into Islam, Allah will surely grant you good in the dunya and akhirah.

If you turn away from this blessed invitation, then it is destruction in the dunya that you will get and the torments of hell have awaited.

We begin this letter with an invitation to Islam, because in reality you are not a Muslim. You're a follower of Shi'ah Nusairiyah, which according to Sheikhul Islam Ibnu Taimiyah, is more severe in its kufr than the People of the Book and the Mushrikeen.

 هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمُ الْمُسَمَّوْنَ بالْنُصَيْرِيَّة هُمْ وَسَائِرُ أَصْنَافِ الْقَرَامِطَةِ الْبَاطِنِيَّةِ أَكْفَرُ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى ؛ بَلْ وَأَكْفَرُ مِنْ كَثِيرٍ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَضَرَرُهُمْ عَلَى أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ ضَرَرِ الْكُفَّارِ الْمُحَارِبِينَ مِثْلَ كُفَّارِ التَّتَارِ والفرنج وَغَيْرِهِمْ ؛ فَإِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ يَتَظَاهَرُونَ عِنْدَ جُهَّالِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالتَّشَيُّعِ وَمُوَالَاةِ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ وَهُمْ فِي الْحَقِيقَةِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاَللَّهِ وَلَا بِرَسُولِهِ وَلَا بِكِتَابِهِ وَلَا بِأَمْرِ وَلَا نَهْيٍ وَلَا ثَوَابٍ وَلَا عِقَابٍ وَلَا جَنَّةٍ وَلَا نَارٍ وَلَا بِأَحَدِ مِنْ الْمُرْسَلِينَ قَبْلَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

A group called the Nusairiyah and the entire other group of Qaramithah Bathiniyah are the people whose kufr is worse than the Jews and Christians, in fact their kufr is more serious than the kufr of most of the Mushrikeen. Their danger to the Muslims is bigger than the danger of the Kuffar who are fighting against Islam such as the kafir people of Tatar and the Crusaders. Because they display themselves as the people of Shi'ah who are loyal to the ahlul bait in front of the ignorant Muslims. When in fact, they don't believe in Allah, His Rasul, His Book, commandments, prohibitions, heavenly rewards, punishments, Heaven, Hell, nor an apostle before MuhammadSallallahu ‘alai wa sallam. (Majmu' Al-Fatawa: 35/149).

Furthermore, we have heard of your inhumanity and terrors, O Bashar. You forced the Muslims prostrate to you, you buried alive a Muslim man because he did not want to say laa ilaaha illa bashar (no god besides Bashar), you destroyed masjids and a variety of other cruel and savage behaviors which until now is still ongoing. This reality further strengthens that you are not Muslim and we condemn the atrocities that you are committing!

O Bashar, know that! For us, your devilish attitude thus opened the eyes of the world, that your evil exceeds that of iblis!

Therefore, the stance of the ulama's of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah is right for having held amuktamar in Cairo, Egypt some time ago, where one of the resolutions deduced was the issuing of a fatwa on the wajib requirement of jihad to Syria to fight you and your supporters.

O Bashar, the Muslims who understand the reality of the Islamic revolution in Syria realized that the war being waged by the Mujahideen there faces diverse enemies; starting from the army of the regime under your authority, Shabiha, and the kafir militia the followers of the Shi'ah Hizbusysyaithan, assisted by Iran, Iraq, as well as the communist countries of Russia and China. And one day, after you have fallen, America and the Zionist Israel will be the next targets of the Mujahideen in order to liberate Al-Aqsa.

O Bashar, know that! For the Muslims, there are some lessons to be learned from the Syrian Islamic revolution.

On one hand, besides the hostility of the international Shi'ah kuffar that must be countered, their self-projection in making themselves appeared concern for Palestine and Al-Aqsa is now exposed as a mere disguise.

On the other hand is the dictatorial attitude of the thaghut Government of Syria since the time of your old man, Hafez Assad, and then you became the next succeeding thaghut. That dictatorship, even if he was a Sunni and inside a Sunni country, it is wajib for the Muslims to overthrow him through an Islamic revolution and replace him with an Islamic government of Daulah Islamiyah.

We remind you O Bashar, among your biggest mistakes is that you are letting this conflict to continue to prolong, as you are following your carnal desire to retain power.

Feel free O Shi'ah countries, send your army, Muslims from all over the world, be it the Middle East itself, or the American continent, Europe, Australia, in fact even China, have come in droves to conduct jihad in Syria.

Allah Ta'ala says in Surah An-Nisa' verse 76:

الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُواْ أَوْلِيَاء الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفاً 

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah , and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.

In the end, Syria became a University of Tarbiyah Jihadiyah which was awaited by the IslamicUmmah, where in theory or practically, the fiqh of jihad could be obtained and developed by them in the laboratory of jabhah, just like in Afghanistan before.

Insha Allah, we will continue to support the Mujahideen who are doing jihad in Syria. We also call on the Muslims who have the ability to conduct jihad together with the Mujahideen of Syria, they are the Thaifah Mansurah which will insha Allah achieve victory.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُرَشِيِّ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، أَنَّ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ نُفَيْلٍ أَخْبَرَهُمْ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي أَسَمْتُ الْخَيْلَ، وَأَلْقَيْتُ السِّلَاحَ، وَوَضَعَتْ الْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا، قُلْتُ: لَا قِتَالَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ: الْآنَ جَاءَ الْقِتَالُ، لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى النَّاسِ، يُزِيغُ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَ أَقْوَامٍ، فَيُقَاتِلُونَهُمْ، وَيَرْزُقُهُمْ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ، حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، أَلَا إِنَّ عُقْرَ دَارِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الشَّامُ، وَالْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ 

Al-Hakam bin Nafi' had spoken to us: Ismail bin Ayyas had spoken to us, from Ibrahim bin Sulaiman, from al-Walid bin Abdurrahman al-Jurasyi, from Jubair bin Nufair that Salamah bin Nufail told about himself who came to see the Prophet Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and said: "I'm tired of caring for the war horse, I am putting down my weapon and war has been abandoned by its bearers. So, there is no more war." The Prophet SAW said: "Now has come the time for war. Remember, there will always be a group in the midst of my ummah which excels over their enemies, Allah misguides the hearts of many for that group to fight against later, and Allah will give rizq from them (in the form of ghanimah) until the decree of Allah comes (Qiyamah) and they will always be like that. Know that, the center of the Islam nation is Sham. The bridle of the war horse has been strapped onto its head (battle ready), and it brings the good until the arrival of the Judgment Day." (HR. Imam Ahmad).

إِذَا فَسَدَ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ فَلا خَيْرَ فِيكُمْ، لا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْصُورِينَ لا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ

"If the religion of the people of Sham is corrupted, there will be no more good left in your midst. There will always be a group from my ummah who are made victorious by Allah, and those who strive to despise them will not harm them in the least until the coming of Judgment day." (H.R. Ahmad and At-Tirmidzi said hasan sahih).

Such was this letter. O Allah bear witness that we have conveyed.
