Sharia Is Success And Democracy A Complete Failure

Islam stands for true social justice, equality, equitable distribution of wealth, regard for individual rights, eradication of nepotism and favoritism, bribery and hoarding, safety and respect for human life, true peace irrespective of class, religion or party, right of worship according to faith and brotherhood. The last sermon of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) is the Magna Carta of human rights.

The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) laid the foundation of an Islamic state on the basis of Islamic Sharia in which all decisions are made in consultation with leading citizens of the Islamic state.

That system was followed by four pious Caliphs where every decision regarding peace or war was made by consulting the leading citizens of the state. In an Islamic state all citizens were equal and enjoyed equal rights. The Zakat system was introduced in order to help the poor and needy citizens of the Islamic state.

In Islam all sovereignty belongs to Allah and power to rule is a Holy trust. All laws are taken from the Holy Quran, the word of Allah. These laws are not limited to a specific period of time but are for all eternity.

Islam gives a complete code of life. In Islam politics cannot be separated from religion. Unlike Christianity that has created a Sunday attitude towards religion, Islam covers all aspects of life and activities of man from cradle to the grave.

Now coming towards the incomplete system called Democracy which has brought inequality, corruption, religious intolerance, human rights abuse and so many failures and atrocities which cannot be all written down.

Democracy is a failed system in which a selected number of individuals rule a state and govern it. They can do whatever they desire by passing bills and legislations with their elected members.

Democracy is not for the whole nation but only for the party in power. We are living in the most confused age of democracy. The elected representatives simply raise their hands and follow the whims of the leaders of the majority party without weighing right and wrong or blindly follow party manifesto without caring for the common and collective good. The elections are so expensive that only the rich can afford to fight the election and use all fair and foul means to win. In such limitations only particular families dominate the state affairs.

The party in power tries to enforce new policies and new laws. Thus there is no socio-economic stability and peace. Party system also breeds factionalism and justice is sacrificed at the altar of political expediency and convenience. Thus the whole order becomes corrupt and invites authoritative rule.

Conclusions:  Sharia is our solution to success and not democracy because Sharia gives:

> Total Justice.

> Total security.

> Best economic development.

> Best allocation of resources.

> Total stability and satisfaction for individuals and community.
