Statement Of Islamic Emirate Regarding The Arrest Of Anas Haqqani And Hafiz Abdul Rasheed
22 October 2014
By Al-Ikhwah Al-Mujahidun
Anas Haqqani is the youngest son of the respected Al-Haj
Mawlawi Jalaluddin Haqqani and is a Talib-ul-ilm
(student) in his last year of studies who does not
have an affiliation with any current political
movements. Utilizing the holidays from his studies
following Eid-ul-Adha, he embarked on his first
foreign visit to meet the freed Guantanamo detainees
after an invitation by the family of Mawlawi Muhammad
Nabi Umari (former Guantanamo detainee).
Qari Abdul Rasheed Umari, the son of Muhammad Umar and
the younger brother of Mawlawi Muhammad Nabi Umari was
also on a visit to meet his freed brother.
While returning home on 12th October after spending
about a week both were captured by the American forces
in Bahrain from where they were sent back to Qatar and
then handed over to Kabul via United Arab Emirates.
It must be mentioned that the above mentioned journey
took place under the watchful eyes of America before
both men were handed over to Kabul despite the freed
Guantanamo detainees being assured that their
relatives may visit them unharmed.
The claims of the Kabul regime that both men are
military commanders of the Islamic Emirate and have
been detained in a complex operation inside the
country are an absolute fabrication far away from any
reality.
The Islamic Emirate considers this action unethical
and against all established laws. The said persons are
not even on any lists who might be wanted by America
and neither did they hold any positions in the Islamic
Emirate of Afghanistan. The Islamic Emirate of
Afghanistan calls on all concerned parties to take
urgent action and free the victims as quickly as
possible.
We cannot understand under which law America took this
action! while America always emphasizes on being bound
to international laws and humanitarian values but
carries out such contrary actions that become a cause
for the prolongation of war.
How can one trust overtures of peace by the
administrations of Kabul and America when they act in
such an unprincipled and unlawful way with the
ordinary Afghan citizens! From this we can take away
that the American and Kabul administrations are not
bound by any international law when it suits their
political objectives and neither are they truthful in
their calls of peace and reconciliation! Such actions
will also have a very bad effect on any future
relations between America and the Islamic Emirate.
