1st Ayah 1 الأية ١الأوليبِسْم ِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
Qul aAAoothu birabbi annas

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ
Min sharri alwaswasi alkhannas

From the evil of the retreating whisperer -

"From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men)
who withdraws (from his whispering in one's heart after one remembers Allah),

الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ
Allathee yuwaswisu fee sudoori annas

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
